  2.                            AW's Magic Icons V1.0

  5.      Here is my first MagicWB icon collection.  These icons are mostly
  6.      original, but some are modified (and improved I think :-) from
  7.      other MagicWB icons and other 'standard' icons (isn't MagicWB
  8.      standard by now? :-).
  9.      
  10.      All icons are either standard size or have standard size equivalents,
  11.      so you don't have to have an uneven display if you don't want to.
  12.      
  13.      All the drawer icons have empty drawers behind them, so you can
  14.      use IconUpdate or similar program to update your old drawers.
  15.      
  16.      There are also some icons designed for non-interlaced displays.
  17.      The only MWB icons that don't look right on non-interlaced displays
  18.      are the disk ones I feel, so I've designed these so they look a
  19.      bit better and take up less space.  I've seen SmallMWB or what
  20.      ever it is, and quite frankly the icons in it suck.
  21.      
  22.      *MOTE* - These icons are designed for MagicWB2 or above,
  23.      running MagicWBDaemon or a similar utility.  Otherwise
  24.      they may look a bit wierd on your WB depending on how many
  25.      colours you are using.

  27. ICONS IN THIS DISTRIBUTION
  28.  
  29.      Apps -    OctaMED -      Icon using part of the keyboard from OctaMED2.
  30.                OctaMED 2 -    Modified from the original OctaMED icon,
  31.                               now half the size.
  32.                clariSSA -     Showing 'Anim5' (in clunky old Topaz) and 
  33.                               'SSA' in ZapfChancery.
  34.                clariSSA2 -    Showing 'clariA5' in Topaz, changing to
  35.                               'clariSSA' in ZapfChancery.
  36.                VideoTracker - A musical note and a video on a plain
  37.                               background changing to a colourful background.
  38.                Adorage -      Rotated and scaled Adorage becoming
  39.                               Adorage in ZapfChancery, similar to a wipe.
  40.                Imagine -      I've never seen an icon for this, strange
  41.                               considering the popularity.  A cube as seen
  42.                               in the detail editor becoming 'rendered'.
  43.                DTP -          A standard DTP icon.  Modified from Martin
  44.                               Huttenloher's original dock.
  45.                Sound Editor - Once again modified from Martin's Dock.
  46.                Video Drawer - For general video applications.  A tape.
  47.                Scala Drawer - For Scala (funnily enough).  The Scala '!'
  48.      Coms -    AmyBW -        Modified from the original.  MWB shading
  49.                               added.
  50.                TrekDrawer -   For general Star Trek use.  The Enterprise
  51.                               is from a Tobias Richter icon, scaled and
  52.                               cleaned up.
  53.                Trek#?s -      Standard MWB icons with the Enterprise
  54.                               appearing on the selected image.
  55.                Trek#?s2 -     As above, but with the Enterprise on both
  56.                               images.
  57.      Disks -   Disk -         A smaller disk icon for use on non-laced
  58.                               displays.  The aspect ratio isn't right,
  59.                               but it looks better than the standard one
  60.                               on non-laced displays.
  61.                Kick -         As above, but a kick icon.  Use an icon
  62.                               editor that can handle kick icons, or
  63.                               Icon Update to copy to def_kick.
  64.                HD -           A HD icon for non-laced displays, correct
  65.                               aspect ratio.  From Martin's original.
  66.                RAM -          A smaller RAM icon for non-laced displays.
  67.      Games     F1GP -         Modified Microprose icon.
  68.                F1GP2 -        Based on FIA's integrated F1 logo.
  69.                F1GP3 -        Standard sized icon.
  70.                F1GPEd -       A preferences icon for F1GPEd (sort of a
  71.                               prefs program)
  72.                Racing -       A drawer icon for F1GP.
  73.                ArcadeAdven -  Drawer icon (a gun).
  74.                AnotherWorld - Icon showing 'Another World' text/logo.
  75.                               Since Delphine (for some reason known only
  76.                               to them) decided to tell everyone to load
  77.                               AW (and FB) from HD, there are also IconX
  78.                               scripts attached to these icons, to load
  79.                               the game.  This means you will have to 
  80.                               copy icon and file using drag and drop,
  81.                               rather than using IconUpdate or similar prog.
  82.                Flash-back -   Icon showing 'Flashback' text + script.
  83.                               Do not rename this icon to 'Flashback'.  Since
  84.                               the program file is 'Flashback', I decided to
  85.                               just add the hyphen to get a different name
  86.                               for the script.
  87.                GraphicAdven - Shows a LucasFilm/Arts type button asking
  88.                               you to open it when closed and vice versa.
  89.                Adventure -    Simple arrow and N for North.  More for
  90.                               text adventures.
  91.                Golf -         Club, tee and ball.
  92.                FlightSim -    Reduced size F15 from Mark Sorenson's F15
  93.                               icon which I suspect was modified from
  94.                               Microprose's original icon.
  95.                Cards -        A drawer for card games.
  96.      System - All modified from Martin's original icons, now standard size.
  97.      Utils -   QBTools -      Detail from QBTools2.
  98.                QBTools2 -     Another half sized recoloured etc. icon.
  99.                               From the original QBTools icon.
  100.                FJPEG -        Modified from the original icon which wasn't
  101.                               quite MWB size.
  102.                NoAGA -        Colourful icon changing to blank.
  103.                IconUpdate -   Modified from Martin's original icon.  Now
  104.                               standard sized.
  105.                GUIArc -       Shows simplified GUIArc interface.
  106.                WBStartup -    PC0 icon.  I have found that if you launch
  107.                               PC0 from WBStartup, a PC0:???? icon does
  108.                               not appear when a AmigaDOS disk is inserted.
  109.                               Wierd, huh?  Still, this is a standard sized
  110.                               icon showing a disk with PC on the label.

  146.     own program or MagicWB icons, a donation of $anything! or an 1960
  147.     monitor :-)

  150.     to hear from you because its good to know who (and how many) are using
  151.     them! I want to hear what you think of them - whether they're good,
  152.     bad or totally suck! (Hope not :-)
